Regional InsurTech leader Igloo has officially launched its operations in Turkey, marking its first market expansion outside the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
To power its market entry, Igloo partnered with Sigortayeri, the insurtech arm of Aktif Bank, to embed its “Personal Cyber” insurance product directly into N Kolay—Aktif Bank’s digital banking app serving approximately 8 million users.
The new coverage safeguards individuals and families against rising digital threats, including identity theft, online fraud, social engineering scams, cyberbullying, cyber extortion, and compromised home networks. With the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK) focusing on expanding cyber protection offerings, Igloo designed the product specifically to fill this market gap.
“Putting protection inside everyday apps is how we’ve grown across Southeast Asia, where Igloo has facilitated more than 2.2 billion policies. A banking app suits cyber cover well; people open it already thinking about their money and security,” stated the company.
Turkey serves as the gateway for Igloo’s broader expansion strategy into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, highlighting a growing global trend toward embedded insurance solutions within digital banking platforms.
