Global actuarial and consulting leader Milliman, Inc. has announced the release of Milliman Compliance Intelligence, an AI-native platform designed to assist insurance product teams, compliance professionals, and regulators in navigating complex state-by-state regulatory requirements.
Powered by generative AI, the platform enables insurance companies to upload policy contracts for jurisdiction-specific compliance reviews, leverage insights from Milliman’s proprietary regulatory database, and receive a national approval likelihood score before submitting official filings. By identifying potential jurisdictional conflicts early, the solution significantly reduces compliance research time and accelerates product launches.
“Because this tool is AI-native rather than AI bolted onto old software, it reads a contract the way a seasoned reviewer would and shows you where you stand nationally before you ever file,” stated Robert Eaton, Principal and Consulting Actuary at Milliman.
Incoming CEO of Milliman, Jim Fulton, emphasized the strategic importance of core AI adoption in the sector:
“The next decade of insurance will belong to firms that build AI into the core of their work, not the margins. Compliance Intelligence is an early look at that future—expert judgment and machine speed working as one.”
The launch highlights a broader industry shift toward AI-driven compliance automation, transforming complex regulatory friction into a competitive advantage for insurers.
